Marine Carpentry

Marine Carpentry students go sailingMarine Carpentry students go sailingLearn hands-on approach to boatbuilding, design and restoration repairs. There will be a wide variety of projects as well, like wood carving, sail making and even musical instruments. The Community Boat Project is on the campus of the Northwest School of Wooden Boatbuilding. No previous woodworking experience is needed to attend. (Class Port Hadlock - Summer only)

Community Boat Project

All About Boats is a two week summer course where students will learn rowing, sailing, marine biology, and voyaging with the Community Boat Project in Port Hadlock, while earning high school Marine Transportation CTE credits. Trips run with 2 Coast Guard licensed captains, 8 students, and 1 open voyaging vessel. This program is available to any Washington State High School student.
